"Triangle" by Thomas DeSoto
The Seven Universal Signs "Triangles" tho separately invented they meant the same thing to ancient civilizations all over the world. Here I tried to unify humanity and nature as one using one of the Seven Universal Signs through composition and framing. When the apex points up it represents the great mountains, the great pyramids, the power of man, the male power of fertility and when it points down it represents the female womb, the power of birth and fertility. In his hand the apex points down signifying the female women on his mind and in his heart. When "the two become one" they represent a star or the Star of David. This image was shot on Pola-Pan instant Black and White slide film. This image has not been altered in any way, it appears as it was created. My hope was to unveil natures true beauty in agreement with nature, for it is the inward and not the outward where natures beauty truly lies. The Triangle, The Circle, The Oval, The Cross, The Spiral Eight, The Angle and The Torus/Hexagon are the Seven Universal Signs that can all be found in nature. Thomas DeSoto, Director of Photography.
