"Crossing" by Thomas DeSoto
The Seven Universal Signs "Crossing" tho separately invented have meant the same to ancient civilizations all over the world. Here I tried to unify humanity and nature as one using one of the Seven Universal Signs through composition and framing. The Cross Sign, The two great rivers of the Euphrates and the Tigris cross at the tree of life whose roots crisscross all races of man. The Symbol of the Holy Trinity and the Holy Spirit. The cross roads of life. We dare to cross the great oceans or cross over the unknown lands, the crossing of cultures and the crossing of language barriers crosses our mind. We all must cross over at some point in time. This image was shot on PolaPan instant Black and White slide film. This unique image has not been altered in any way, it appears as it was created. No cropping or enhancement of any kind was used on this image. My hope was to unveil natures true beauty in agreement with nature, for it is the inward and not the outward where natures beauty truly lies. Triangles, Circles, Ovals,Crosses, Spiral Eights, Angles and The Torus/Hexagons are the Seven Universal Signs that can all be found in nature today. By Thomas DeSoto Director of Photography.
